Please say a prayer for homeless brother Ricki.  From time to time he would help serve our homeless family in Los Angeles. Recently, he had a major stroke and is semi-ambulatory living in a long-term care facility.

LIKE JESUS, WHY NOT BECOME A SERVANT!

"Behold, my servant shall prosper, [but not in the way you may think].  He shall be exalted and lifted up very high.  In fact, many will be astonished looking at him.  His appearance is so marred, beyond human resemblance and his body beyond that of normal men. He will startle kings and nations.

"For he grew up like a young plant, and like a root out of dry ground.  He had no form or body that we should look at him, and no beauty that we should desire him. Thus, he was despised and rejected by all.

"Yet it was the will of the Lord to prosper his hand.  Therefore, he will be accounted among the great because he poured out his soul to death."  Isaiah 52 & 53

1.  Help make with the Servants of the Father of Mercy treat bags for the homeless. This Friday, June 28, 2019, 9:30am sharp to 11:30am. Meet at the front gate of Ventura Harbor Storage, 1414 Angler Court, Ventura, CA 93001.

2.  Deliver to 80,000 + homeless in Southern California, Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 8:30 am sharp.   Meet at the front gate of Ventura Harbor Storage, 1414 Angler Court, Ventura, CA 93001. In Los Angeles meet at 11 am sharp at St. Peter's Church, 1039 N. Broadway, Chinatown, CA 90012.

P.S.  (Could everyone bring along cool, refreshing summer drinks - Gatorade, juice packs, etc.?  Cold or frozen is even better!)

Celebrate "God the Father of Mercy"

Always the Sunday after Father's Day.  The Servants of the Father of Mercy celebrate our community's Patron, God the Father of Mercy as known in Jesus’s parable, "The Prodigal Son."  

And so we pray . . . "Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen."

According to OmniPollsm, a well-respected faith and culture research company in Ventura, CA, - they found that 41% of all U.S. adults believe the world is now living in the biblical end times and the imminent return of Christ.

That is broken down this way . . .

54% of Protestants

77% of Evangelicals

30% of Catholics (practicing and practicing)

However, practicing Catholics registered 45% saying yes to we are now living in the end times.
