Last Sunday, the Los Angeles parish Saint Paul the Apostle (SPA) set out to collect men's suits, coats, ties and belts before and after each Mass for homeless in need of dress clothing for work and job interviews. Dubbed, "Suits for Success", it was a BIG success! Special appreciation to Matt and Mary who with the support of Danny and the Justice Outreach Council conceived and launched the event. This was the first time SPA tried the program and the response was overwhelming. Four large suit racks were filled up several times over the course of the weekend. Many thanks to everyone who donated. The dress clothing will be donated to local organizations who help homeless men and women get back into the work place. It is great to see the spirit of outreach to the poor so alive at St. Paul's.
