New Poll: The Problem of Suffering

Just to be human is to deal with emotional and physical suffering on a day-to-day basis. Even Christians, who confess a living God may wonder: “Where is this God when we need Him? Why doesn’t He do something?” So, the problem of suffering begs your reaction and response in a new poll launched today. Please scroll down and tell us what you think about the following question: “Do you believe that the many forms of personal suffering in this life play a positive role in an individual's sanctification and that overall we should rejoice in trials and suffering?”

Thank you for participating in all of the HIA polls located at the bottom of this page!

Please pray for a friend, Dr. Tony, who is having a biopsy done on Monday, may the Lord Bless him for all he does for the Two Hearts and grant him a benign biopsy! We pray this in the Name of Jesus, Amen!

Also, Marlene died this afternoon at 4pm, with Josie and I and two other women at her bedside. Today is the Feast of the Visitation, and after reciting the Divine Mercy, the four of us ladies prayed the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary, and right when we announced The Second Joyful Mystery is the Visitation, Marlene died! We were all in awe at the perfect timing of the Lord to bring her home! May she rest in peace, and please pray for her soul. Pam

A good friend from just called and let me know that his 17 year old brother Jonathan was in motorcycle accident yesterday and is in a coma in a Seattle hospital. Could we send petitions up to the Lord for him and ask for a miracle for his recovery? Thanks for all your prayers! Gary

He agreed last Thursday to work out something with us today. I am asking to please please pray that he will let us move in.. We are down to very little money and do not have enough to go anywhere else...The man's name is Bill. Please pray that he will call us tomorrow or tonight and agree to us moving in. God Bless. Hello, my son Michael is in the a Medical Center ICU. He got sick on Tuesday. I have not had any sleep since then. They have a fever and seizures under contol by antistegic. Please pray for both of us. I will up date you when I can, but I spend most time at Michael's bedside.

Today we found out that he may have a virus in his brain. There is treatment for that. Michael is one of God's special people, and I do not know what all this means. I told my son with all the tubes going in and out of him, weak, and sleeping peacefully "You can talk and pray to God, but you can not go home with Him just yet". I pray he does obey! So please remember one more family when you say your prayers. Thank you!God bless you and yours - Christie

My dear friend Theresa's brother, Father Ignatius passed away Wednesday night at about 7:00 pm. He was a Benedictine Priest at St. Bernard Abby. I would like to ask you to pray for his holy soul and the family and the Benedictine Monks wich were his spiritual family. Eternal Rest grant unto him oh Lord, and let Perpetual Light shine upon him. May his soul and all the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen. God Bless, Lateena
