Just saw a program on TV and in it, a doctor said it takes 18 months for the brain to detox completely from the effects of meth. He said it takes 90 days in rehab and an addict should go to sober living for at least a year.

The first days off meth (usually because of lack of funds) triggers depression and fits of crying. One point of meth sells for $10 and a person typically needs 7 - 8 points per week to avoid withdrawal.

Just like this woman, a double amputee living on the streets of Palm Desert, CA, all of us and most certainly the homeless can suffer from profound loss and sadness in this life. Yet, Hope has a name, it's Jesus! He inspires us by saying, "Blessed are you that weep and mourn for one day you shall laugh," Luke 6:21

Right after we started saying the chaplet a month ago - the first shooting was at Mercy Hospital with low casualties.

Yesterday, a man was stopped before the shooting took place at a Texas Baptist church Sunday service and is being held at Guadalupe jail.

December 30, 2018: "Now that I think about it, he could've taken a trip to any church and -- a lot of people [could've left] in body bags," Jimenez said. "That kind of hurts me, like, what if? You know what I mean? What if that really happened?"  The gunman, Mr. Albert was being held at the Guadalupe County Jail on $100,000 bail, according to court records.

Let's keep praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet for future shooters of America and the world!

Noelle, 25, who is using only her first name because she signed a no-publicity clause for one of her jobs, is one of the 15,748 Angelenos currently living in his or her vehicle, according to the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority. Their ranks are growing amid a worsening income inequality and homelessness crisis: As of January 2018, 9,117 vehicles were being used as homes, up 600 from 2017.
