On the way to heaven . . .

The way for the middle class and rich to go to heaven is to give large sums of alms to the poor. . .

In the words of the Blessed Mother, she said . . .

"God has mercy on those who fear him in every generation.
He has shown strength of his arm.
He has scattered the proud in their conceit.
He has crushed the mighty from their thrones.
He has exalted the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things.

The rich he has sent empty away."  Luke 1:50:54

Road to Joy!

Then Jesus said to his host, “When you give a luncheon or a banquet, do not invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, your relatives, or your rich neighbors; if you do, they may invite you back and so you will be repaid. But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the homeless, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection.”  Luke 4:12-14

Please pray for blankets, shelter, jackets, food, hot beverages and warmth for our homeless family this winter . . .

In her final hours, as Karen Lee Batts tried to sleep in the freezing cold of a Portland, Oregon parking garage and hypothermia took over her body, Karen became confused. She began to remove clothes. An attendant later found her on the garage floor. “She died from hypothermia due to the severe cold weather,” said the officiant at her funeral Wednesday, reading from a newspaper obituary. “She suffered from schizophrenia, a mental illness.” Several dozen people filed past her open casket at the Ross Hollywood Chapel to pay their respects, 11 days after her death. Batts was the third to die here in an extreme cold spell that has killed four homeless people this month.

Mark Zuckerberg says he's no longer an atheist, believes 'religion is very important' - He just might be exploring becoming a Catholic!

Mark Zuckerberg says he's no longer an atheist, believes 'religion is very important' - He just might be exploring becoming a Catholic!

Julie Zauzmer, writer for the The Washington Post, reports on January 2, 2017 that the founder of Facebook has found religion, it seems, according to a cheery holiday message he posted on the social network he created.  On Christmas Day, Zuckerberg indicated in a Facebook status that he was "celebrating Christmas."

"Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah from Priscilla, Max, Beast and me," he wrote, naming his wife, daughter and dog. Then a commenter asked him: Aren't you an atheist?

Zuckerberg identified himself as an atheist for years, but on Facebook on Christmas he wrote back: "No. I was raised Jewish and then I went through a period where I questioned things, but now I believe religion is very important."

He didn't answer further questions about what he does believe in. Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, have publicly discussed their moral values frequently — including in a lengthy letter when their daughter was born a year ago, in which they pledged to donate 99 percent of their Facebook stock, which at about $45 billion at the time was one of the largest philanthropic commitments ever.

They've already met one of the world's most important religious figures: Pope Francis, with whom they discussed bringing communication technology to the world's poor.
