Chubby Camels

Who is the "Servants of the Father of Mercy" and what do they do?

The "Servants of the Father of Mercy" is an Association and Catholic ministry of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

In actuality, it just looks like we help the homeless . . .

But in reality, "Servants of the Father of Mercy" helps middle-class and wealthy people to go to heaven by inviting them to donate their money and hearts, having compassion on the poor homeless.  So, that is our mission, "to help people who have homes and wealth to enter the Kingdom of God."

Jesus said:  "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven."  Mark 10:25

May God bless you as you follow the "Servants of the Father of Mercy" on social media, and we pray you will have a lot of success taking from your wealth and giving it to the poor.  Ultimately, the rich and poor, we can all make it to heaven together!

Prayers and blessings . . .

The Servants of the Father of Mercy Team

Wednesday, February 7, 2018

Well, Marie Foti (Photo 1 - pretty gal in the white dress) recently reminded friends that 2018 is the 10th anniversary of the opening Mass of the Servants of the Father of Mercy.  Peter Torsiello (Photo 1 - awesome leader with the guitar) and music group were the worship team for the celebration. It was held at St. Peter's Italian Catholic Church, Chinatown, Los Angeles, January 26, 2008.

Present at that Mass were Myrna Emata (piano) along with 30 other musicians, singers and guests. (Photo 2 - that is Westwood, Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Community's drummer, Joel Fischer on percussion.)

However, the first servants began helping the homeless in Los Angeles under the 3rd Street bridge in 2001. All-totaled, we now celebrate 16 years of the privilege of serving the poorest of the poor in Southern California.

YOU LIGHT UP MY LIFE!

In Menlo Park, NJ in 1879 (New Years Eve), Thomas Edison gave the gift of light to the entire world.

In Jerusalem, Israel in the year 33, Jesus Christ by his resurrection gave the gift of light to the souls, hearts and minds of all the peoples of the world.

In the year 00, God said, "Let there be light!" and gave the gift of light to the entire universe.
