Dear Saint Joseph, you took the poor, homeless Christ child
into your home. He had left His home in heaven and without hesitation you took
Him in.
For many years Jesus was helpless and could not do things for
himself. As a carpenter and as a true laborer, you became the very hands of
Christ.
Help us to become the hands of Christ for those who are
helpless and homeless; They also can not do things for themselves.
Help us to build a home. To build ourselves into a house to
serve those whom are under your care and protection - the poor, homeless, helpless,
little and small.
We ask this through your intercession and in your son’s Name,
Jesus Christ the Lord. Saint Joseph, our patron saint of the homeless, hear our
prayer. Amen.
