May God bless our homeless friends and our team for delivering urgent supplies on the streets of Oxnard, Ventura, Los Angeles, Indio and all the desert cities around Palm Springs, California.

READY OR NOT!

Jesus told us he will come again - a Second Christmas, one might say. 

MATTHEW 25:1-13

Then he told a story about his second coming. The parable of the 5 wise women and 5 foolish. All ten were waiting for the moment the Bridegroom would arrive after being away on a long journey.  Only 5 were prepared and bought extra oil in the house for their lamps.  The other 5 women figured they did not know the day or the hour of his arrival, so they just went on living unprepared.

Red Hot!

Tricia and her companion Frank just received homemade red rosaries from dear church ladies in Alberta, Canada who make them for our 80,000 + homeless family.  Tricia and Frank have been living under the same tree for many months in the scorching 🥵 heat of the desert behind Palm Springs International Airport.

THE DATE, TIME AND DAY OF THE CRUCIFIXION OF CHRIST!

Through researching the historical record of the four Gospels, along with the writings of Josephus, a Jewish historian of the time and comparing the births and deaths of Harrod and Pontius Pilot, this allows us to narrow down the date, day and time of Jesus' death to a very specific point in history. The Crucifixion of Christ took place at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 3, A.D. 33.

Pointless to Priceless

WE'RE FRANTIC

Humankind makes frantic the clinging to earthly things completely pointless . . .  "As he came from his mother's womb he shall go again, naked as he came, and shall take nothing for his toil. For the fate of the sons of men and the fate of beasts is the same; as one dies, so dies the other. All go to the same place" (Eccl 5: 14; 3: 19, 20).

WE'RE BLIND

A profound blindness takes hold of man if he deludes himself that by striving to accumulate material goods he can avoid death. Not for nothing does the Psalmist speak of an almost animal-like "lack of understanding".

EMBRACE POVERTY

It is better to be poor and to be one with God!
