Heavenly Grace

After the team retreat the end of May, the Servants of the Father of Mercy returned to Southern California with service in multiple locations on Saturday.  May God bless each person, his or her family and generations to come with blessings that come from heaven for helping the poor homeless.  We pray, may the pictures inspire us all to save our souls from separation from God, the fires of hell and suffering of Purgatory.  We need the homeless in order for us people with houses, wealth and power to obtain graces of mercy go to heaven one day!

Father's Day

In the history of the Church, not sure there ever was an annual day of celebration for God the Father - except for "Trinity Sunday".  Therefore, it was a special time had by all who gave their time to come and celebrate God the Father at Servants of the Father of Mercy "Youth & Family Night" last Friday.  It was our 8th annual celebration marked at the time of Father's Day each year in the month of June.  Enjoy the pictures!   The children had a fun night in the "Bounce House" too, thanks to "Ricardo's Moon Jump" of Santa Paula.  Songs of love and praise were enjoyed by all . . .

Made to be Humble

 

 

The well-loved evangelist Billy Graham’s grandson Tullian Tchividjian (photo) has resigned from his pulpit at Coral Ridge Presbyterian, Fort Lauderdale, FL - A high-profile church made famous by its former pastor Dr. James Kennedy who helped establish the "Religious Right" (often accused of being neither - religious or right) in the 1990s and subsequently championed a national campaign condemnation of gay people - God's children too. Today, pastor Tullian Tchividjian admitted he and his wife both have had affairs in an official statement he sent to the Washington Post.

 

Of course, human sexuality is a complex and an across-the-board weakness as proven now by Tchividjian along with King David/Bathsheba fling, TV Evangelist Jimmy Swagart, President Bill Clinton/Monica Lewinsky affair and Foursquare Church founder, Aimee Semple McPherson multiple liaisons and millions more like them. It is one way that God keeps judgmental people in-check, humble and more loving and accepting of gays and others who are easy minority targets. It's unfortunate that a public fall from grace is what it takes to bring down a religious self-righteous attitude that condemns and judges others all the while hiding one's own moral failures and weaknesses.

Esta semana, los migrantes, inmigrantes, personas sin hogar puede hacer mucho para usted!

This week, the homeless, migrants and immigrants can do a lot for you!

99% de las personas van al Purgatorio a momento de su muerte. Incluso las personas que no creen en el Purgatorio todavía van allí. Piense - caliente y cargado, como estar sentado todo encerrado en un auto en el verano.

99% of people go to Purgatory at the moment of death.  Even people that do not believe in Purgatory still go there.  Think - hot and stuffy, like sitting all closed up in a car in the summer.

Sirviendo a las personas sin hogar con "Siervos del Padre de Misericordia" reduce su tiempo en el Purgatorio!

Serving the homeless with "Servants of the Father of Mercy" reduces your time in Purgatory!

Esta semana es una buena semana para ayudar a las personas sin hogar. Hacemos bolsas de comida de llenado cada saco con las bebidas, los alimentos y las naranjas - venga este viernes de 9:30 am a 11:00 am.

Ven este viernes a las 6:00pm para la recaudación de fondos taco, venta de pasteles y un concierto con Cantante Católico, Sr. Wilber Baires por los homeless a las 6pm a 9pm.

Sábado a las 8:30am nos entregan bolsas de comida a las personas sin hogar en la calles.

This week is a good week to help the homeless.  We make lunch bags filling each sack with drinks, food and oranges - come this Friday from 9:30am to 11am.

Come this Friday at 6pm for taco fundraiser, bake sale and concert with Sr. Wilber Baires at 6pm to 9pm. 

Saturday at 8:30am we deliver lunch bags to the homeless on the streets.

Algo de la nada! Something from nothing!

Love and Hate

Hint: He's Not Perfect!

Here's the story that every poor young person needs to know about success from a guy who conquered poverty . . .

1. He was born and baptized into a Christian family.

2. Grew up in complete poverty on an isolated island off the coast of Africa.

3. Greatly loves his mother.

4. Respectfully took direction from his father.

5. All his free time was used to become the best.

6. Humbly followed the guidance of his teachers and elders.

7. Did not receive his first cell phone or computer until he was 18.

8. All his extra free time was spent in the gym.

9. He left no time in his young life to get in trouble.

10. He visits children in hospitals on his days off.

11. Admits he's not perfect.

12. But continues to prove the Bible correct: “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” James 4:6  "God raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; he seats them with princes and has them inherit a throne of honor." 1 Samuel 2:8

When he became successful at age 17, he acquired a long list of haters . . . Can you guess who this guy is?
