What's a Mountain Man?

On Saturday, October 29. 2016, a new Servants of the Father of Mercy volunteer Brian, speaks with a Los Angeles-based "Mountain Man" while delivering food, water and clothing to homeless living under bridges in So Cal.  At its peak, there were about 3,000 "Mountain Men" in this country primarily living in Colorado, Canada and Pacific Northwest from 1800 to 1890.  Now only a handful remain.  The Mountain Man leads a life that's dangerous, arduous and at times, down-right miserable. The lives of most mountain men ended in violence.  Here are the pictures of Brian speaking with a guy in downtown Los Angeles known as "Mountain Man."
