Who Do You Know That Can Help in LA - ASAP?

The group has been serving west side homeless men, women, children and teens every day of the year since 1987. Now, they need more help! Please talk it up in your circle of friends, encourage them to lend a hand. This is a great opportunity for summer community involvement, for teens and for youth service hours. Contact Ted ASAP at the following email

Here is a list of opportunities to serve that you can peruse.

West Side Food Pickups
Seven days a week, between 9AM and 7PM, usually an hour or so at a time – by assignment from Doris, our volunteer president and food coordinator.

Food Preparation
Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, between 3:30 and 6PM, at our kitchen at 1106 N. Cahuenga, just north of Santa Monica Boulevard in KINGSTAR HAMBURGER AND TERIYAKI. (We prepare and serve a meal seven days a week, but at the moment we need cooks and assistants on those days, most particularly).

Serving Meals
Sunday, Monday, and Friday, between 6:15 and 8:15PM, at Sycamore and Romaine (one block east of La Brea and one block south of Santa Monica Boulevard). Includes cleaning up the neighborhood afterwards and then returning to the kitchen to wash and clean up there.
